Vivian D. Martindale, 63, of Kokomo and formerly of Jasonville, died at 9:23 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010 at Howard Regional Hospital in Kokomo.
BornSept.11, 1947 in Roark, KY she was the daughter of Forester Collett and Naomi (Logston) Collett.
She is survived by her spouse, Robert L. Martindale, of Kokomo, whom she married June 12, 1965; son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Carol Martindale of Jasonville; daughter,Tracy Martindale of Kokomo; sisters and brother-in-law, Barbara and Paul Midle of Evansville and Cindy Brown of Sullivan; grandchildren, Ashlie Martindale, Destiny Martindale, Bradley Martindale and Chasity Martindale; sisters-in-law, Linda and David Norris of Orlando, FL, Cathy Martindale of Orlando, FL, Phyllis Martindale of Farmersburg; brother-in-law, Steve and Lana Martindale of Sullivan; and several nieces and nephews,
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Ed Martindale; father-in-law, Wayne Martindale; mother-in-law, Hazel Martindale.
Vivian had worked first as an LPN at Linton Nursing Home and later at the Shakamak Good Samaritan Nursing Home and Respite Care in Sullivan. She graduated from Shakamak High School Class of 1965, graduated Ivy Tech College in Terre Haute as an LPN.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home, 218 South Meridian Street, Jasonville.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Jasonville, IFather Frank Renner
Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
