Classic Cruisers appreciate support

To the Editor:

The Classic Cruisers wish to express our deep appreciate to all of the sponsors, merchants, participants, spectators, and other individuals for the support we received this year.

Your generous donations, door prizes, silent auction items and participation were instrumental in making the 2010 Freedom Festival and Apple Festival car shows successful.

Due to this generosity the club was able to raise $7,500 this year between the two car shows and will be distributing to the following charities throughout the area.

Riley's Children's Hospital -- $5,000.

Linton Civitan Clothe-A-Child -- $500.

Linton Community Food Pantry -- $750.

Town of Bloomfield/Bless This Dinner Program -- $500.

Bloomfield Community Food Pantry "White Christmas" -- $750.

The club would also like to thank the City of Linton, Linton Chamber of Commerce, Linton Park Board, Town of Bloomfield, and the Bloomfield Apple Festival Committee for their continued support of the shows.

In addition, we would like to extend a special "Thank You" to Harrah Manufacturing, Ivan Sparks, the O'Neil family, and the Bloomfield Main Source Bank for allowing us to use their properties for the Apple Festival Car Show and to the "Bloomfield Word of Life Fellowship Church" for providing food and refreshments during the Apple Festival Car Show.
