* Dec. 14 -- Police responded to an accident involving two vehicles at the intersection of State Road 54 and 59 at 10:15 a.m. One vehicle was westbound on SR 54 to cross SR 59 and the second vehicle was northbound on SR 59 to cross 54. The second one had a green light and proceeded into the intersection. The first one had a red light but the police report states they failed to stop and struck the second vehicle on the passenger side. The driver said she thought she had a green light but a witness traveling behind her said there was a red light. A breath test was administered -- alcohol was not a factor in the crash. LPD Officer Karl Jacobshagen was the investigating officer.
