Vada M. Vest, 86, of Ellettsville, died at Bloomington Hospital on Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010.
She was born on Jan. 28, 1924 into the home of the late Clarence Skinner and Jennie (Fuller) Skinner in Greene County.
Vada was a homemaker and was a member of the Turning Point Apostolic Church. She resided at Richland Bean Blossom Health Care Center where she made many friends, enjoyed bingo and coffee chat. Vada loved everyone and everyone loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Napoleon "Pete" Vest who passed on June 4, 2002; her infant brother, Clifford Skinner; brother, Carl Skinner; sister, Hazel Vest, and niece Lena Kay Graham.
Vada is survived by her loving children, Brenda Harrison and husband Chris of Ellettsville and Gary Vest and wife Ann of Ellettsville; grandchildren, Brad Harrison, Brent Harrison and wife Shannon, Jason Vest, John Warriner and his wife Melissa, Cherie and Jen Warriner; great-grandchildren, Nick, Christopher, Jordan, Zack, Lilly, Holton, Madeline, Zack, and Evan; sisters, Audrey Fiscus, Elsie Hall, and Martha Bidak all of Ellettsville; and nieces, Bobbi Babneau of Ellettsville and Teri Graham of Florida.
Funeral service will be at Turning Point Apostolic Church, 210 Vine St. Ellettsville, on Monday, December 20, at 2 p.m. with Brother Ron Hawkins officiating. Burial is to follow at Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation will be at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville on Sunday, December 19, from 2 to 6:p.m. and again on Monday one hour prior to services at the church.
