Leon Cochrane, 75, of Bloomfield passed away at 6:35 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 20, 2010 at his residence.
Leon was born Sept. 4, 1935 in Greene County, the son of James and Geneva (Pownall) Cochrane.
Leon was a retired farmer and heavy epuipment operator.
Surviving relatives include three children Roger L. Cochrane, Clem Cochrane (Marina) and Rosa Jean Swaby all of Bloomfield; four grandchildren, Melissa Jo Cochrane, Jennifer Lynn Cochrane (deployed overseas), Roger Andrew Cochrane all of Bloomfield and Sara Jo Mowery of Shelburn; one great granddaughter, Abigal Lynn Auberry; one step-grandson Nikita Prikhodko of Bloomfield and one brother Donald Cochrane of Bloomfield.
Leon was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Marilyn Kay (Martindale) Cochrane on Jan. 3, 2002.
Service will be graveside at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, at Simpson Chapel Cemetery in Bloomfield with Pastor Dan Holtsclaw officiating. Burial will be at Simpson Chapel Cemetery in Bloomfield. There will be no public visitation.
