Harold C. Morgan, 86, of Carlisle, passed away at 3:35 a.m. on Dec. 22, 2010 at Millers Merry Manor in Sullivan.
Morgan was born on June 2, 1924, in Sullivan to Samuel Hayden Morgan and Dessie Grizzle Morgan.
He was a retired Union Carpenter. Harold was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Marine Corps and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sullivan, Sullivan American Legion Post 139 and the Odd Fellows of Carlisle.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Dorothy Kaiser Morgan, two sons, Harold Eugene Morgan, and Nicholas Joseph Morgan of Carlisle, three daughters, Judy Page of Carlisle, Helen Marie Douglass of Muncie, and Cathie Ann Knotts, of Linton, six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Wendall Morgan, and a sister, Helen Stout.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sullivan, with Father Frank Renner officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery at Carlisle.
Visitation is Sunday, Dec. 26, from 5-8 p.m. at Banks and Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan.
