Sherrel E. Page, 82, of Dugger, passed away at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 27, 2010 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born in Sullivan County on Aug. 12, 1928 the son of Kenneth "Bill" Flemming Page and Grace Shepherd Page.
Sherrel graduated from Rose Poly Institute, he was a licensed engineer/surveyor, taught school at Lyons, and Vincennes University, and was a member and minister at the Bethany Christian Church in Plummer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, also his wife, Vera Ragsdale Page on May 19, 1999.
He is survived by two sons, Ronnie Reeves (Diana) of Sullivan and Nolan Reeves (Cathy) of Switz City; three daughters, Susie King (Gary) of Paintlick, Ky., Cynthia Boston (Roger) of Louisville, Ky., and Virginia Kitzmiller (Paul) of Clarksville; one sister, Sharon Wilson (Robert) of Mebane, N.C., 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec, 30, 2010 at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger with the Bro. J.B. Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Dugger Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
