The Linton Police Department's activity log for Monday included one report of intimidation, one accident with property damage, two medical/illness, one assist to another agency, one complaint of harassment, one domestic battery, one theft, one disabled or stranded vehicle, one fingerprint for a gun permit and three traffic stops.

* Dec. 23 -- Tina M. Wright, 32, Lyons, was arrested in Linton at approximately 11:45 a.m. Wright was wanted on a warrant issued for failure to appear in court on a charge of driving while suspended, a class A misdemeanor. When an LPD officer noticed the new warrant come through for her, and was aware she had gotten back together with her husband, he checked for her at his residence, located her and she was taken into custody and transported to the Greene County Jail where her bond was to be set at $5,000. LPD Officer Nick Yingling was the arresting officer.

* Dec. 23 -- George Timothy Jones, 52, Linton, was arrested and booked in to the Greene County Jail on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. The police report states officers saw a vehicle driving erratically then pull into the Chuckle's gas station. The driver, Jones, allegedly then stumbled into the station where officers spoke with him and noticed the odor of an alcoholic beverage. He allegedly had glassy eyes and very poor balance, failed field sobriety tests, and was taken to the police department where he again failed the tests. He consented to a breath test and registered .17 BAC. LPD Cpl. Paul Clark was the investigating officer assisted by Officer Brock Garrison.

* Dec. 27 -- Police took a report from a Lyons man who said he was at a gas station in Linton when he received a phone call around 2:55 a.m. from another man who made threats against him. According to the police report, the suspect allegedly told the man there was going to be a "Bronco Barbecue in Linton" which was a reference to the way in which the man's father had died in an automobile crash. The suspect is the man's ex-girlfriend's father and this is the second report of harassment involving the same suspect within the last year. An officer advised the man to file a petition in the courts for a protective order.
