Bradley D. Landis, 64, of Sullivan, passed away at 4:17 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010 at Sullivan County Community Hospital.
He was born in Sullivan, Sept. 24, 1946 the son, of Samuel Landis and Ethel Chloe Pigg Landis.
Brad graduated from Union High School in 1964, was a member of the First Christian Church in Dugger, the National Guard, retired from Peabody Coal Company, was a member of the Dugger Masonic Lodge #721, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite, and the Zorah Shrine of Terre Haute.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Chloe Pigg Landis, also one sister, Ruby Thompson.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years Brenda Falconbury Landis whom he married on December 24, 1964 , one son, Brent Landis of Sullivan; one daughter, Belinda Pirtle (Mark) of Dugger; two brothers, Dan Landis (Shirley) of Indianapolis, Sam Landis (Debbie) of Dugger; two sisters, Kay Hosteller (Jerry) of Florescent, Mo., Geneva Henderson of Bloomfield; four grandchildren, Brock, and Grant Landis, and MaKaylee, and Kaleb Pirtle.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31, at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger with Milford Stone officiating. Interment will be in the Dugger Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday.
A Masonic service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday.
