The Linton Police Department's activity log for Wednesday included one follow-up investigation, one assist to the utility department after hours, one public intoxication, one accident with personal injury, one accident with property damage, one alarm, one suspicious vehicle/person, one assist to another agency, one complaint of harassment, two possibly intoxicated drivers, three extra patrols, one theft, three message deliveries, one domestic dispute and six traffic stops.
* Dec. 29 -- Police responded to a rear-end collision involving two vehicles at approximately 7:15 p.m. on State Road 54E near NW C St. One vehicle was turning into a driveway off the highway. The driver said he had his turn signal on. Another driver in a vehicle coming up from behind said she did not see the vehicle ahead and thought she was looking at the kids in the back seat. The front driver's side of her vehicle struck the other in the passenger side rear end causing extensive damage to the first vehicle's rear bumper, quarter panel, trunk, tire, axle and door. The damage to the woman's vehicle was to the front bumper, quarter panel, door and hood. No injuries were reported. The first vehicle was driven into the driveway but the other had to be towed away. The drivers' physical status was normal and no alcohol tests were given. LPD Officer Debbie McDonald was the investigating officer.
