The Linton Police Department's activity log for Tuesday included one title check, two requests for information, two reports of vandalism, one protective order violation, one accident with property damage, three medical/illness, two alarms, one suspicious vehicle/person, one reckless driver, one lost or stolen license plate, one ordinance violation and one traffic stop.
* Jan. 4 -- A female resident who advised she had just applied for a protective order against a 20-year-old Westphalia man reported the man sent her a text message making threats. The man also reportedly left an harassing voicemail. Police have pictures of the text message and a digital recording of the voicemail. The Protective order was listed on the registry but at that time, had not yet been served to the suspect. LPD Cpl. Chad Crynes was the investigating officer.
* Jan. 5 -- A resident on Roosevelt St. reported his vehicle at his home was struck by another car around 12 a.m. The suspect vehicle is possibly a dark-colored Pontiac Grand Am. The car allegedly reversed and struck the resident's vehicle in the front passenger side with the rear of the suspect vehicle. LPD Officer Thomas Jerrels was the investigating officer.
