The Linton Police Department's activity log for Wednesday included one title check, two follow-up investigations, one assist to the utility department after hours, one incident of vandalism, two accidents with property damage, three medical/illness, one animal complaint, three suspicious vehicles/persons, one assist to another agency, one extra patrol, one theft, one fingerprint for a gun permit, one arrest-wanted on a warrant, and two traffic stops.
* Jan. 5 -- Brandy L. Hyde, 42, Linton, was arrested without incident at her residence. She was taken into custody on a civil Writ of Attachment that was issued by Sullivan County Superior Court for $2,100.36 with no 10 percent allowed. Hyde was transported to Sullivan County where custody was transferred to a Sullivan County Sheriff's Deputy. LPD Cpl. Paul Clark was the investigating officer.
* Jan. 5 -- Officers responded to an accident involving two vehicles on State Road 54E about 200 feet east of the entrance to Angell's Shopping Center. Falisha S. Hauck, 19, Linton was eastbound on the highway in a black 2007 Pontiac Sunfire and William R. Murphy, Jr., 16, Linton, was traveling behind Hauck in a dark blue 2002 Dodge Dakota. According to the police report, Murphy did not see Hauck and rear-ended the car. Vehicles were damaged but no injuries were reported. LPD Cpl. Chad Crynes was the investigating officer and Officer Tom Jerrels assisted on the scene.
