Gayle E. Miller, 83, of Jasonville, passed away at 1:30 p.m., Monday, Jan.10, 2011 in his residence.

He was born Feb. 11, 1927 in Clay County, to Foster Miller and Jessie (Phipps) Miller.

Survivors include his spouse, Joann (Miller) Miller of Jasonville, whom he married March 13, 1954; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Holly Miller of Jasonville; daughters and son-in-law, Sherri Moyer of Jasonville, and Lori and Richie Ashcraft of Jasonville; grandsons, Chase and Gabrielle Miller, Chad Miller, Daniel Moyer, Matthew Miller, Andrew Miller, and Michael Miller; granddaughters, Nicki Moyer, Brandi Ashcraft, Lacy Ashcraft, Kiley Ashcraft, Heather Gutensohns, and Rochelle Smith; great-granddaughters, Justice Bickel and Dreama Moyer; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Mel Butts of Sebring, FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Arnold Miller, Bob Miller, Larry Miller and Farrell Miller; sisters, Esther West and Opal Puckett.

Gayle worked for Marion Brick in Brazil, for 30 years and also for Charles Industries in Jasonville, he also farmed while working his other jobs. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home, 218 South Meridian Street, Jasonville, with visitation scheduled from 5-9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2011 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Brad West officiating. Interment will be at Peavey Cemetery in Howesville with military graveside rites.
