The Linton Police Department's activity log for Friday through Sunday included one license plate check, one report of breaking and entering, three follow-up investigations, two requests for information, one fight, five assists to the utility department after hours, one custody dispute or exchange, one report of a sex offense, one property dispute, seven accidents with property damage, one medical/illness, three alarms, one animal complaint, two suspicious vehicles/persons, three complaints of harassment, two reckless drivers, one extra patrol, three thefts, one disabled/stranded vehicle, two domestic disputes, two community relations and nine traffic stops.
* Jan. 15 -- A Sullivan resident reported a theft occurred while his vehicle was parked in front of a Linton residence on N. Main St. He left his brown leather wallet containing a driver's license, debit card and gift cards in the vehicle and when he left the residence, noticed it was missing. LPD Cpl. Chad E. Crynes was the investigating officer.
* Jan. 15 -- A Jasonville resident reported a theft occurred while her son was visiting a Linton residence on N. Main St. He had left an iPhone 4 with a black case in the vehicle and when he left, he noticed it was missing. The report notes officers have developed "persons of interest" and the case remains active. LPD Cpl. Chad E. Crynes is the investigating officer.
