Michael 'Mike' Jay Wilson, 58, of Switz City, passed from this life to be with his Lord, Monday, January 31, 2011, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.

Mike had accepted the Lord as his personal Savior. He was born May 29, 1952, to Paul Koonce and Sondra (Wilson) Koonce. On December 28, 1985, he married Tammy S. (Hester) and from that marriage, they had two daughters.

Mike was a member of the American Legion Post #22. He was an employed at Crane Naval Weapons Support Center where he worked as an engineering technician. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving with the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Tammy; one son, Erek Wilson of Linton; two daughters, Tasha and Tiffany Wilson at home with their parents. Also surviving is a brother, Bob Koonce of Columbus, GA and one sister Debbie Eads of Linton; nieces, Emily, Mercedes, Tesla, Alexis, Megan, Veronica, Jasmyn and Timberly; and nephews, Patrick, Shaun, Bobby, James, Johnny and Levi.

Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph and Margaret Wilson.

Memorial contributions may be given to Riley Children's Hospital with envelopes available at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5 at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Chaplain Patrick Hester officiating.

Calling will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton, with full military rites given by American Legion Post #22.

The Wilson Family has entrusted these arrangements with the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton.
