She is survived by her husband whom she married Jan. 29, 1982, Henry D. Secrest of Linton; two daughters, Karen (Bob) Aishe of Loogootee and Paulette (Mike) Baines of Belle Vernon, PA; two sons, David (Jackie) Gilstrap of Dugger and Mark (Diana) Gilstrap of Sellersburg; three step-daughters, Margaret (Rick) Pentland of Jasonville, Carolyn (Phil) Bilyeu of Avon, and Henrietta (David) Whisenant of Gastonia, NC; 13 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, 17 step great-grandchildren, and 13 step great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Russell T. Gilstrap; a son, Russ Gilstrap; four brothers, Harold, Glenn, Marvin, and Lawrence Cook; and a sister, Anna Thomas.
Funeral service will be at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2011, with Rev. Russell Black and Pastor Phil Bilyeu officiating.
Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Cemetery near Lyons.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
