The Linton Police Department's activity log for Tuesday included two requests for information only, two drug investigations, one transport of documentation, one medical/illness, two animal complaints, one prowler, one extra patrol, one extra patrol, one theft, one disabled or stranded vehicle, one welfare check or concern, one community relations detail and four traffic stops.

* Jan. 29 -- No injuries were reported as a result of a one-vehicle accident on State Road 54E near NE 12th St. at approximately 11:35 p.m.

Cody E. Swan, 20, Lyons, was operating a red 2004 Ford truck that a witness said went through a green traffic light then lost traction with the rear wheels due to excessive speed.

The police report states the vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole on the south side of the road then was fishtailing after it went through the intersection heading east while traveling at excessive speeds.

The report lists the driver's physical status as normal.

LPD Officer Tom Jerrels was the investigating officer. LPD Cpl. Chad Crynes assisted on the scene.
