Edith Lorene Fuller Pearson, 92, of Mooresville, passed away Feb. 10, 2011at Millers Merry Manor Nursing Home.
Edith was born March 11, 1918 in Greene County to Levi David and Laura Belle Bough Fuller.
On Aug. 5, 1934 Edith married Leslie "Ray" Pearson. At Ray's death in 2006, they had been happily wed for 72 years. Most of her married life Edith had resided on the Westside of Indianapolis and most recently at Park Square Manor, Avon and Millers' in Mooresville.
She had been a member of the Westside Gospel Tabernacle, and now Lakeview Christian Center. Later she became a member of Bethel Family Worship Center. Edith was first a mother and a homemaker, and then entered the work force in 1950 at Wm. H. Block Co. She co-owned Evans Dry Cleaners, worked for Hibben-Holloweg, Royal Globe Insurance, Safeco Insurance, Emerson F. Davis Agency and retired June 21, 1991 after 21 years with Cloverleaf Properties (a Roy L. Prock Co.) She was a member of the Insurance Women's Association.
Edith is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, David F. and Elaine Pearson, Cloverdale, and Gary W. and Joann Pearson, Camby; four granddaughters, Mona Smith, Sherrie Smith, Rita Rhine, and Lori Pearson; two grandsons, Alan Pearson and Kyle Pearson; three great grandsons, Anthony Rhine, Jake Smith and Sean Rhine; three great granddaughters, Jenna Smith, Lacy Pearson, Hannah Lange; four great great grandchildren; five step-grandchildren, Christina Meek, Laura Stultz, Cynthia Giuliani, Larry Giuliani and Lynn Giuliani and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leslie "Ray" Pearson, two sons, Kevin R and Thomas D. Pearson, sister, Eva Jensen and Edna Headley, brothers, Wayne and Glen Fuller and a great grandson, Darren Pearson.
Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 14, 2011 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center- Decatur Township 5463 Kentucky Ave., with Pastor Johnny Garrison officiating.
Visitation will be at the funeral center on Sunday, Feb. 13 from 4-8 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to the service.
Entombment will take place in the Abraham Lincoln Mausoleum at Lincoln Memory Gardens, 6851 Indianapolis Road, Whitestown, Ind.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the nursing staff of Miller's Merry Manor for their attention and special care given to Edith during her final days. The family request memorial contributions are made to the American Heart Association.
