Andy (Sonny) Golish, Jr., 74, Riverton. Passed away at 2:45pm Sunday, February 13, 2011 at his residence with family and friends by his side, after an extended fight with cancer. He was born September 21, 1936 to Andy and Margaret Scott Golish. He was transferred from Sprague Textron; Anderson, Indiana to Owenton Kentucky: where in retired. He had also been employed by Hobart in Richmond Hill, Georgia. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Ladonna Price Golish.One daughter, Terri Lynn McKee. Two sisters, Mary Ann Robinson and Virginia(Ginny) Bounds. And his grandparents Roy and Martha Pirtle Scott.
He has left behind his wife Janice Parker Golish formally of Anderson. They were companions from 1972 for 8 years, before their marriage on March 1, 1980, with being together almost 40 years . He is also survived by fours sons; Jimmy Lee Golish, Sullivan; Jeff Golish , Riverton; Damon (Jody) Golish , Cass. Jeremy (Angie) Parker, Anderson, three daughters; Donna (Terry-Skeet) McKee, Graysville; Tina Wainscot, Texas; and Lindsay Golish Shelburn. He has two brothers Jimmy D ( Martha)Golish, Riverton and Frank Golish Anderson. He leaves behind 22 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews . He was known as Sonny, Old Timer, and Pops but will still be missed and loved by all.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev Dan Dyer officiating. Burial will be in the Merom Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.
