LINTON POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Linton Police Department's activity log for Tuesday included one request for information only, one medical/illness, two complaints about animals, one prowler, one suspicious vehicle and/or person, one traffic control detail, one extra patrol and six traffic stops.
* March 4 -- A resident reported that his vehicle had been parked in the school lot during school hours and when he back to it, someone had stabbed about three holes in his spare tires. A spare tire had also been pried from the rim. LPD Officer Nick Yingling was the investigating officer.
* March 5 -- Police investigated an incident of breaking and entering that occurred sometime between 4-8 p.m. at a residence on Route 2. They noticed change on the bathroom floor and a sock laying on the bathroom countertop then discovered an AT&T Samsung cell phone and the phone's charger were missing along with $40-50 in change, a pack of Marlboro cigarettes and a lighter, and some prescription pain killers. LPD Officer Debbie McDonald is the investigating officer. LPD Cpl. Paul Clark has assisted in the investigation.
