Jack E. Wilkins, 84, of Jasonville, IN, went to be with Jesus surrounded by his family at 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2011 in Shakamak Good Samaritan Nursing Center at Jasonville.

He was born Sept. 23, 1926 in Sullivan County to Francis & Edith (Buell)Wilkins. Jack married June (Bolinger) Wilkins, April 14, 1978.

Survivors include his spouse June Wilkins of Jasonville ; daughters and sons-in-law, Terrie Wilkins of Clay City, Mary Wilkins and Brenda St.John, both of Indianapolis, Debby and Bill Kennett and Mona Hendricks of Jasonville; sons and daughters-in-law, David Wilkins of Jasonville, Mike and Alicia Wilkins of Jasonville, Billie and Robin Wilkins of Linton, Robert Wilkins and Richard Wilkins both of Indianapolis, Rodney and Lori Lambermont and Edward and Sandy Lambermont of Jasonville, and Randy and Linda Lambermont of Brazil,; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Warren Fry of Clay City; brothers and sisters-in-law, Merle and Susie Wilkins of Cattaraugus,NY, and Andy and Dee Dicus of Jasonville; 28 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; many wonderful nieces and nephews; and three exceptional friends of great help in later years, Leland McKee, Jerry Stanfield and Charlie Boston.

He was preceded in death by his parents two wives, Donna Wilkins and Frieda Wilkins; two children, four grandchildren, 12 Brothers, six sisters and two sons in-laws.

Jack was a retired USAF veteran who had served in two wars and The Bay of Pigs, he was a route salesman for several years and then with his wife ran a couple of antique shops and went to antique shows. Jack loved people. He never met a stranger. He was a member of Jasonville American Legion Post #172.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street, Jasonville, Ind. with visitation scheduled from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral Service is at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 15 with Pastor Sam Bush and Pastor Jerry Bolinger officiating, followed with nilitary rites.

As Jack requested, cremation is scheduled following the funeral.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made your local food bank, St. Jude's or Riley Children's hopitals. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
