Mary Louise Hale, age 90, of Linton, passed away on Wed. afternoon, March 16, 2011, at Glenburn Home in Linton. She was born June 16, 1920, in Linton, the daughter of William I. and Hazel (Southard) Houchin.
She had worked at G. C. Murphy and at Hamilton's Drug Store, and was bookkeeper and owned and operated Harley's Tavern, all of Linton.
Survivors include a brother, Bill (Hewig) Houchin of Linton, and four sisters, Maggie (Larry) Corns of Lyons, Daisy Bixler of Terre Haute, and Bonnie (Ronald) Carpenter and Alice Griffith, both of Linton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father, Harley Miller, her husband, Glasper "Cotton" Hale, Aug. 7, 1979, and a brother, Jerry Houchin.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
