Paul Max Van Horn, age 70 of Linton, died Thursday afternoon, March 17, 2011, at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. He was born in Coal City on July 2, 1940, the son of John B. and Dortha (Brown) Van Horn.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired from Crane after forty years of service. He was a member of the Church of Christ and the Masonic Lodge #560, both of Linton.

He is survived by his wife whom he married Oct. 22, 1966, Sandra S. (Chapman) Van Horn of Linton, two sons, Kevin Van Horn and Eric (Heather) Van Horn, both of Linton, a brother, John David (Veda) Van Horn of Linton, two sisters, Sharla Van Horn of Brownsburg and Mary (Vernon) Burch of Bloomfield, and three granddaughters, Kennedy, Hanna and Erica.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harold Wayne Van Horn.

Private family services will be held at Fairview Cemetery on Saturday, March 19, 2011, Jerry Carmichael officiating.

There will not be public visitation or service.

Arrangements are being handled by Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton.
