Lyons woman says thanks for help

To the Editor:

After falling in my kitchen the morning of Thursday, Feb. 10, and breaking my femur (upper leg bone) I have been the recipient of many kind acts of care and concern from friends and neighbors.

Two months have already passed and hopefully the next month of no left leg usage will pass quickly also.

There are no words I can find to begin to express my thanks and love I have felt from these caring people.

Phone calls, hospital visits, nursing home visits, get well cards, food brought in, but most of all the prayers on my behalf for full recovery. All these things show me that people do care.

A special thank you to the Lyons Volunteer Fire Department for its response that morning and to ministers Rose Sparks, Chris Gehring, and Jim Cooper for their visits.
