He retired as a mechanic with Vigo Dodge in Terre Haute after many years of service.
He was born February 23, 1944 in Vigo County to Richard A. Pemberton Sr. and Elsie McFarland Pemberton. His first wife, Sallie J. Pitts Pemberton whom he married on April 20, 1964, preceded him in death on October 14, 1999.
Survivors include: His wife, Angela Pemberton; two daughters and sons in law, Julie and Larry Wilson, and Toni and Ray Price; a son, Richard Pemberton; a brother, Rodney Pemberton; two sisters, LaDonna Ellshoff and Pat Gregg; five grandchildren, Ashley Hauser and her husband, Mark, Adam Price, Amber Price, Ricky Pemberton, and Emilee Pemberton; two great-grandchildren, Aubree Hauser and Chase Hauser.
He was also preceded in death by his father, his mother Elsie Wilcut; and a brother, Tony Pemberton.
He was a member of the First Assembly Of God Church in Jasonville, Ind. and the Unchained Gang Ministries and he was a veteran of the Air Force.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home with Pastor Samuel Bush officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Memorial Park. Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday and prior to services Sunday.
