The Linton Police Department's activity log for Thursday included one follow-up investigation, two incidents of vandalism, one criminal mischief, one structure fire, one accident with personal injury, one accident with property damage, one medical/illness, two suspicious vehicles and/or persons, one child abuse and/or neglect, one traffic control detail, one theft and one domestic dispute.
* April 14 -- A Lyons woman reported the battery of two children occurred while she was in a check-out line at WalMart. According to the police report, the woman was with her child and a related child when a woman in front of them struck the children. LPD Detective Josh Goodman responded and contacted the store to obtain surveillance video.
* April 14 -- A Linton man reported a theft of a go-cart. He said he left the go-cart with a roll cage at a location on NW 2nd St. to have some work done on it but when he went back to pick it up, a man claimed to not know what happened to it. LPD Detective Josh Goodman is the investigating officer.
* April 15 -- Police were notified that one man was possibly violating a protective order involving two men. The matter remains under investigation.
