Stacey Lynn Speer

Monday, April 25, 2011

Stacey Lynn Speer, 38, of Bloomfield, was called home to heaven on April 23, 2011.

Stacey was born June 28, 1972 to Tom and Sharon (Burch) Speer of Bloomfield.

Stacey will be remembered as more than a daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Stacey was a loving person who had a smile for everyone she met and would help anyone in need if she could. Stacey was someone who would put the needs of others before her own needs.

Stacey attended New Horizon Church in Smithville and the Bloomfield Church of God when her schedule allowed. Stacey was employed at the American Red Cross as a phlebotomist.

Stacey enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She especially took great joy in watching her nephew and nieces at their various sporting activities and school functions. She became "Aunt Stacey" to their friends as well. She was always there to support them and snap a few pictures.

Stacey was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Dale and Margaret Burch and paternal grandparents Freelen and Hazel Speer.

Stacey is survived by her parents, sister, Lori Speer, brother and sister-in-law, James and Angie Speer, nephew, JT, and nieces, Sierra, Kelsie and Cheyann, all of Bloomfield, and sister Tina, of Virginia. Stacey also left behind numerous extended family and friends.

The Lord has called you home. Although we mourn our loss, we will celebrate the gift your years on Earth was to us. It will be hard to move forward without you beside us, but we know you will be watching over us. Your strength and love has touched us all. As it did when you were walking beside us, we will rely on that strength to carry us through until we can be together again.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Word of Life Fellowship Church in Bloomfield, with Rev. Richard Reed and Rev. Bill Oricks officiating. Interment will follow in Bays-Burch cemetery near Ridgeport.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Jenkins and Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield and 1 hour prior to services Thursday at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to the American Red Cross.
