He was born Feb. 26, 1962 in Franklin, the son of E. Joe and Joyce A. (Clary) Angell.
He was president, CEO, and owned and operated with his family, Angell's Food Centers in Linton and Sullivan. Mark was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Linton and Linton Elks Club, was a member and past president of the Linton Rotary Club, was on the Greene County General Hospital Foundation Board of Directors, was a member and past president of Linton-Stockton Chamber of Commerce, and was active with the Freedom Festival Parade. He was a 1980 graduate of Linton-Stockton High School, attended Indiana State University, and began with Angell's in 1977.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Kay (Hice) Angell, to whom he married June 4, 1988, his parents, Joe and Joyce Angell of Linton, two sons, Chris Angell and Nick Angell, both of Linton, and three sisters, Vickie L. (Vic) Brown of Linton, Linda J. (Terry) Elliott of Linton, and Pam A. (Jim) Gentry of Linton.
Visitation will be at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton from 4-9 p.m. on Wednesday, and after 10 a.m. on Thursday at the church.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 12 at the Linton Assembly of God Church with the Rev. David Atkins officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
