Hasler family appreciates support

To the Editor:

The family of Don Hasler would like to thank numerous people for the care of our father and condolences after his passing.

We want to thank all the caregivers who gave him such good care during his time at home, and to those who sent cards or visited him during this time. Glenburn Home personnel provided loving care to him during his time there.

We also truly appreciate all those who visited the funeral home, attended his funeral, sent cards, food, flowers/gifts or made donations to the Walnut Grove Cemetery in his memory. The Rev. Arlen Pope, Rev. Rose Sparks and George Ockerman provided words that were so appropriate for the funeral service. Kay Moody, Mary Ruth Hostetter and Ardith Ricardson provided beautiful music during the service. The family dinner after the funeral was delicious, which was at Bloomfield United Methodist Church assisted by Mansions in Heaven and Marco United Methodist Church, and was very much appreciated.

Lastly, Hasler Oil Company meant so much to him and all of the employees there made it possible for this business to be in existence for 55 years.

God bless you all.

Angell will be missed by many

To the Editor:

Greene County Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Coalition shares the community's shock over the death of Mark Angell.

After hearing an GCTPC speaker at a recent Linton Rotary meeting, Mr. Angell volunteered to serve as a Greene County Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Coalition member. He enthusiastically promoted the Indiana Quit Line (1-800-Quit-Now) to both employees and shoppers. He indicated an interest in working with GCTPC to advocate for clean indoor (smoke-free) air.

In the short time he was part of our organization, he assisted in improving the health of our county through his efforts. Mr. Angell will be sorely missed. We offer our sympathy to his family and friends.

Davis family says thanks for help

To the Editor:

We want to thank all of our friends and neighbors during the loss of our loved one. The prayers, cards, flowers and telephone calls were greatly appreciated.

A special thanks to Jenkins Funeral Home for being there during the time in Florida and Indiana. Thanks to Doug Miller and Kathy Haywood for providing food, you both are family to all of us, and to the Methodist Church in Worthington for the wonderful luncheon after the service.

Again, thank you all for being there during our time of sorrow.

Thank you for surprise party

To the Editor:

I want to thank everyone who made my surprise birthday party so special.

Thanks for the cards, gifts and well wishes.

A big thank you to my family members who planned it all and to a friend who provided the good music.

It will also be a wonderful memory.

Love to all of you.
