donating food

To the Editor:

Bloomfield First Baptist Church Community Food Pantry extends a deeply appreciative "thank you" to the many generous people who donated food in the Bloomfield area during the May 14 U.S. Postal Workers Annual Food Drive.

We also thank James Wilson, U.S. Postal Worker, who coordinated the food drive in Bloomfield, and our Bloomfield and county postal workers who collected the donations.

Kudos to our terrific volunteers who followed the postal workers in their trucks, picked up the items, weighed food, sorted, and shelved the items (Rex Kirchoff, Charlotte Humerickhouse, Cheri Campbell, Nancy Cummings, Brandy Cummings, Madison Denham, Emma Cummings, Jerry Boyer, Scott Allen, Sharon Terrell, Bert Terrell, Georgia Flinn, Jamie Flinn, and John Cummings) -- 1,007 pounds of food was collected in Bloomfield during this year's drive.
