Thank you for

all your help

To the Editor:

I, Joan Sharr, want to publicly thank my sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Bobby Helms, for driving me to Florida to see my daughter-in-law, Sherry Sharr's, high school graduation.

Sheryl is from the Philippines, she quit school at 16, went to work to help support her parents, sister, and four brothers, and now has her high school diploma.

She married our son Jeffrey, Sept. 8, 2008, and they are buying a home in Florida. I waited 70 years to have a daughter-in-law, I love her dearly, and am very proud of her. She hadn't ridden in a car often, and after coming to the United States she learned to drive, and is now enrolled in college.

On March 4 I had gallbladder surgery, I wondered if I would feel like riding 2,000 some miles, and leaving my husband home.

I want to also thank our son Mike, and my sister-in-law Cathy Anderson for fixing Joe's meals and doing whatever else he needed help with, Joe can't walk but a few steps with a walker, and has to use a wheelchair. The week I was gone, I had a wonderful time, my stomach finished healing, and now I feel the healthiest I've felt in a long time.

I seldom get out of Greene County, except go to the grocery store or doctor, and to get to go that far, have a chauffeur, eat out and not have to cook, and get waited on was wonderful.

Thanks again, Janet, Bobby, Mike, and Cathy for your help, and thanks to God for keeping us all safe.

Joan Sharr
