Danny Robert Saylor, Jr., 68, of Bloomfield, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2011 at his residence.
Born Dec. 30, 1942 in Bloomington, he was the son of Danny Robert Saylor and Alta (Ritter) Saylor.
Danny was retired from IU Physical Plant and had worked for RJ Auction Service and was a member of the Stanford Masonic Lodge.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Nancy Saylor, of Bloomfield, two sons; Danny B. (Janet) Saylor of Bloomington, and Jimmy (Bridget) Saylor of Mooresville. Four daughters; Tammy (Joe) Deckard of Martinsville, Rita (Ross) Garing of South Bend, Nita King of Bloomfield; Jina Conard of Bloomington. He has six grandsons; Levi Burton of Mooresville, Logan Burton of Bloomington, Jimmy Saylor II of Bloomfield, Brendon Scales of Bloomington; Kyle Scales of Freedom and Zackery Barnett of Bloomfield, seven granddaughters, Loren Burton (Scott) of Bloomfield, Rosalynn Sherk (Allen) of South Bend, Britney Lopez of Good Fellows Air Force Base in Texas, Megan Saylor of Bloomington, Alisha Saylor of Bloomfield, Samantha Deckard of Martinsville and Shaunessy K. Saylor of Mooresville, he has eight great grandchildren, his mother, Alta Saylor of Bloomington, one brother Steve Saylor of Bloomington and one sister Linda Reynolds of Denver, Col.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday June 1, and 1 p.m. Thursday until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Solsberry Cemetery.
