Sewer line project progressing

Tuesday, June 14, 2011

Work is underway on the sewer line extension from State Road 57, west onto State Road 54 to the Greene County Fairgrounds and across the highway to the Open Arms Christian Ministry campus. The work is being paid for by the Greene County Redevelopment Commission. Reed and Sons Construction of Bloomington was the low bidder on the $769,994 project. Here, Reed Construction workmen are showing preparing a water main in front of the Greene County Cooperative Extension Service office. The sewer line is connecting with a line that was installed earlier that heads north on State Road 57 to the Hoosier Energy peaking plant near the State Road 67 junction, then connected with the treatment plant in Worthington.
