LINTON POLICE DEPARTMENT ACTIVITY REPORT
The Linton Police log for July 26 included: one follow up investigation, one property damage traffic accident, one animal complaint, one theft case, one arrest on a warrant, two battery cases and two traffic stops.
*July 26 -- Linton police apprehended Alenjandro Garcia outside the Linton Walmart Super Center at 1:05 p.m. LPD officer Nick Yingling was off-duty and in the store where he observed Garcia, whom he knew was wanted on a warrant -- a petition to revoke a suspended sentence on a robbery conviction. Officer Paul Clark arrived to assist with the arrest and Garcia fled the officers -- running through the store and out the entrance door, where he was apprehended. Local charges are pending for resisting law enforcement.
