Born Dec. 2, 1993 in Bloomington, he was the son of Paul Edward and Kimberly Sue (Carpenter) Rifner.
Jarad was a senior at Bloomfield Junior-Senior High School and attended Harvest Community Church.
Surviving relatives include: his parents, Paul and Kimberly Rifner of Newberry; sister, Lindsay Megan Rifner of Newberry; his maternal grandparents, Eugene and Donna (Tuler) Carpenter of Newberry; paternal grandparents, Vollie and Arlene (Woodworth) Rifner of Riverview, Fla.; great-grandfather, Wendell Carpenter of Newberry; three uncles, Tim Carpenter of Newberry, Vollie (Debbie) Rifner of Davenport, Iowa, and Pete (Cheryl) Rifner of Bradenton, Fla.; two aunts, Shannon (Daniel) Nester of Indianapolis and Mary (Joe) Beechler of Phoenix, Ariz.
Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 30 at Harvest Community Church with the Rev. Jeff Williams officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Nebo Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Harvest Community Church and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the church.
Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
