Thank you from

the Runnels family

To the Editor:

Thank you to all who participated in any way during the passing of our loved one, Willis Dale Runnels, husband, father and grandfather.

A special thanks to Father Michael Madden for the beautiful rosary and church service, to my family of St. Peter Parish, to St. Ann's Alter Society for the delicious dinner prepared for our family and friends, to those who sent cards, food, prayers, or just by being there. To Linda and Bill Bedwell, such great friends who were there day and night for Dale and myself, before, during and after his passing.

A special thanks to Jim Meng and staff of the Anderson-Poindexter Funeral Home who did such an excellent job taking care of everything down to the last detail, nothing was left undone.

Also, what an impressive and moving tribute by the American Legion Post 22. For a World War II veteran to pass away on the Fourth of July must of made it more special to him.

I feel as if he was waiting until the whole family could be together before he left us. It was just not meant for him to be here any longer on this earth, and with our faith in God, we know, that he is in a better place.

God bless you all.

Support appreciated during tough times

To the Editor:

A million thanks to the hundreds and hundreds of people and all the many churches for their prayers for my recovery from heart bypass surgery.

Thanks to God for guiding the doctors in finding my problem and His protection as they corrected it. Your prayers were answered and my "Heart" is now full of love and thanks for so many caring people.

God has also blessed me with a wonderful husband and family that provided me with special care, thank you and I love you very much.

My prayers are for others, sick and suffering that God will grant them peace and comfort.

God bless you all.
