Laura A. Corbin, 73, of Bloomfield, passed away at 5:52 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2011 at Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born May 27, 1938 in Kentucky, she was the daughter of Herman and Blanche (Bennett) Stivers.
She was a homemaker and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving relatives include: her children, Theresa Andis of Bloomfield, Thomas Corbin of Bloomfield, Larry Corbin of Mooresville and Anita Wildman of Loogootee; her sisters, Doris Johnson of Brookville, Genevieve Stivers of Lexington, Kentucky, and Jeanette Hackman of Brownstown; two brothers, George Stivers of Georgia and Renee Stivers of Brookville; grandchildren, Jeff Stivers, Laura Kelley, Paula Drake, Tonya Stivers, Matt Corbin, Rachel Crabb, Steve Corbin, Megan Corbin and Daniel Wildman; ten great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Arlen Pope and Robert Warren officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove cemetery in rural Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from noon until the hour of services Thursday at the funeral home.
