She was born Sept. 8, 1958 in Linton, and was the daughter of Ivan Robert and Jo Etta M. (Souders) Turpin.
She had formerly worked at General Electric and Pizza Villa, both in Linton, and was owner and operator of the Diamond Needle in the 1980s. She was a 1976 graduate of L&M High School and attended Ivy Tech for Business.
Survivors include a daughter, Cortney (Travis) St. John of Linton, three grandchildren, Adrian, Zander, and Liam, a brother, Rob Turpin, of Linton, and three sisters, Karan Hasler of Linton, Kathy May of Jasonville, and Karla Owen of Linton.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 15 at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton, with Mark Messmer officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. on Sunday, and after 9 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
