Albert "Satch" Berry, 77, of Washington died at 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born Feb. 3, 1934, the son of Albert Thomas Berry and Myrtle Ethel Franklin Berry. He married the former Judith B. Rider on April 29, 1959 and she survives.
He worked as a machine operator for Kimball Corporation for 35 years, retiring in 1999. He was also a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church and the Eagles Lodge.
Other survivors include: daughters, Donna (Kevin) Deckard of Vincennes; Diana D. (Andy) Igel of Solsberry; as son, Steven W. Berry, of Washington; grandchildren, Joshua Deckard, Lauryn Lytton, Courtney Lytton, Chelsea Igel, Drew Igel, Tyler Igel, Brittany Igel and Katie Igel; sisters, Mary Wade of Hammond and Dorothy VanHoy if Shoals; and a brother, Raymond Berry of Shoals.
He was preceded in death by Walter Todd, Howard Todd, Catherine Funk and Doris Pilarzcyk..
A funeral mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Washington with Father Emanuel and Father Jason Gries officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Friday at Poindexter-Hall and McClure/Washington Chapel. The Eagles will conduct a memorial service at 6 p.m.
