He was born on November 4, 1935 to Vern and Fern (Hasket) White. He married Pamela (Gadberry) White on Aug. 31, 1968.
He was the owner of New Interstate Concrete. He was a member of the Bloomfield Masonic Lodge, the Bloomfield First Christian Church, and was very active with youth organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club, Babe Ruth, and local little leagues.
Nereus Earl "Nit" is survived by his wife of 43 years Pamela, sons Preston White, his wife Gina, and Nereus Cameron White, his wife Pam; daughter Natalie Wallace and her husband Jimmy; brother Ron White, and sisters Joyce Summers, Nila Hasler, Mary Ann Wilcoxin, and Claudia Grounds; seven grandchildren Giana White, Presley White, Peyton White, Nolan White, Dru White, Reagin White, and Kyler Wallace.
He is preceded in death by both parents and brother James White.
Funeral service will be on Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011 at 2 p.m. at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E Springhill Drive. The Rev. Mark Grayless will be officiating. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011 at the funeral home.
Cremation has been chosen by the family.
