Frank "Hibbitt" Postin, 70 of Linton, passed away at 9:35 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011 at his residence.

He was born Feb. 11, 1941 in Winslow, IN to Lester Postin and Maxine (Roberts) Postin.

Survivors include his spouse, Sharon I.(Rehmel) Postin of Linton, whom he married on Aug. 12, 1987 ; sons and daughters-in-law, Frank "Shorty" Postin of Boonville, KC and Samantha Crane of Midland, and Travis and Holly Crane of Lewis; mother, Maxine Postin of Boonville; mother-in-law, Roberta Rehmel of Jasonville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dana and Rob Carter of Petersburg, Carol and Donell Fulkerson of Boonville, Karla and Monty Fetter of Newburgh and Marlene and Clinton Meredith of Reed, KY; brothers and sisters-in-law, Shelby and Cynthia Postin and Jim and Charlotte Postin both of Boonville, George and MaryLou Postin of Washington state and Eddie Postin of Boonville; and the greatest gifts God ever gave him, grandchildren, Mikayla "Miki J", Loryn, Drew, Kaleb and Kingston.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lester Postin; sister, Trudy Postin ; brother, David Postin; best friends Bud Wynn and Ronnie Rehmel.

Frank retired from Peabody -- Hawthorne Mine where he worked as a Pit Boss. He was a member of the UMWA and attended the Coalmont Church of God.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Ind. with visitation scheduled from 4 -- 9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, with Pastor Joy Rehmel officiating.

Interment will be at K of P Cemetery in Hymera.
