Marisa Jones
Mirisa LeAnn Jones, 25, of Dugger, passed away at 6:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011 at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis.

She was born Oct. 15, 1985 in Terre Haute, the daughter of Charles R. and Kathy (Pope) Jones.

She was a Licensed Practical Nurse, a 2004 graduate of Linton-Stockton High School, and a graduate of Ivy Tech in Terre Haute.

Survivors include her fiancÚ, Travis Monroe of Dugger, her son, Joshua Lower of Linton, her father, Charles R. (Dawn) Jones of Shelburn, her mother, Kathy (Walt) Lawrence of Linton, maternal grandparents, Don and Jean Pope of Linton, a sister, Miriah (Dustin) Wildin of Linton, step-sisters, Rachel (Jeff) Souders of Sullivan & Laura Ridge of Bluffton, and step-brothers, Spencer Ridge of Shelburn, Walter Lawrence of Bicknell and Ira (Kirsten) Lawrence of Bicknell. She was preceded in death by her stillborn baby, Noah, and her paternal grandparents, Charles K. and Johneen W. Jones.

Her baby son, Noah, was stillborn Friday, Aug. 26 at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. Noah is survived by his father, Travis Monroe of Dugger, maternal grandparents, Charles R. and Dawn Jones of Shelburn and Kathy and Walt Lawrence of Linton, paternal grandparents, Roy and Karen Monroe of Fairbanks, maternal great-grandparents, Don and Jean Pope of Linton, paternal great-grandmother, Vivian Halberstadt of Sullivan, brothers, Matthew Monroe and Joshua Lower, and several aunts and uncles.

A funeral service for Mirisa will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3 at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton, with Pastor Brad Darr officiating. A private family service will be held for Noah. Noah will be buried with his mother, Mirisa, at Nyes Chapel Cemetery in Farmersburg.

Visitation for Mirisa will be from 5-9 p.m. on Friday and at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
