He was born Sept. 10, 1928 in Linton, the son of Vincent and Angela (Osredkar) Barlich.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Linton and retired in the late 1980s from the city of Linton Water Department. He was a member of the Slovene National Society in Indianapolis. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Doris Barlich of Speedway, two nieces, Jane (Bill) Clark of Shell Lake, Wisconsin and Patricia (Mark) Callahan of Brownsburg, a great-nephew, Billy Clark, and a great-niece, Stephanie Clark.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Frank Barlich.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, and at 10 a.m. on Monday at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 12 at the funeral home with the Father Michael Madden officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
