GREENE COUNTY SHERIFF'S

DEPARTMENT JAIL LOG

* Sept. 12 -- Joshua D. Hollifield, 27, Linton, was arrested by the Linton Police Department on preliminary charges of disorderly conduct, resisting law enforcement and public intoxication. Bond set at $2,000.

* Sept. 11 -- Steven A. Stewart, 30, of Indianapolis, was arrested by the Greene County Sheriff's Department on a warrant. Bond was set at $4,000.

* Sept. 11 -- William T. Abts, 26, of Springville, was arrested by the Indiana State Police on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Bond was set at $4,000.

* Sept. 11 -- Sandra Cavazos, 43, of Jasonville, was arrested by the Linton Police Department on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, and leaving the scene of an accident. Bond set at $4,500.

* Sept. 11 -- Ryan R. Lewis, 29, of Linton, was arrested by the Linton Police Department on a warrant for failure to appear in court for a operating a vehicle while intoxicated charge. He was charged on a petition to revoke a suspended sentence. Lewis was also charged with criminal mischief and resisting law enforcement. No bond was set pending a court appearance.

* Sept. 10 -- Brian E. Carpenter, 39, of Linton, was arrested by the Indiana State Police on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated (refusal). Bond set at $8,000.

* Sept. 10 -- Scott D. Henico, 50, Route 2, Linton, was arrested by the Indiana State Police on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Bond set at $4,000.

* Sept. 10 -- Daniel D. Simpson, Route 1, Jasonville, was arrested by the Indiana State Police on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Released after posting $4,000 bond. Court date set for 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 16.

* Sept. 9 -- Joshua A. Sargent, 28, Route 1, Sandborn, was arrested by the Greene County Sheriff's Department on a preliminary charge of domestic battery. He was released after posting $4,000 bond. Court date set for 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 16.

ACTIVITY LOG

The Linton Police Department log for Sept. 10-12 included: One littering case, one illegal burn, one follow-up investigation, four fights, one juvenile delinquent case, one criminal mischief case, one structure fire, three property damage traffic accidents, two prowler cases, one harassment complaint, one child abuse/molest/neglect case, two theft cases, two vehicle thefts, two domestic disputes, one ordinance warning, and seven traffic stops.

* Sept. 11 -- A Jasonville resident reported the theft of a moped from the McDonald's parking lot. The owner said the gray-colored 2004 Midwest Flash 49 cc moped was left at the parking lot because it wouldn't start. When the owner's father returned to the lot to pick up the moped, it was gone. The purchase price was between $750 and $800.

* Sept. 11 -- A rural Jasonville woman reported that her identification card was either lost or stolen at the Bottom's Up Bar on Vincennes Street in Linton.

* Sept. 10 -- A Route 2 Linton resident reported the theft of a small apartment refrigerator, an Echo Weedeater and an aluminum frame from his residence. Extra patrol was requested.

* Sept. 10 -- A Route 2 Linton resident reported that during the early morning hours someone in a tow truck hauled away three non-operating vehicles from her residence. The vehicles included a 2001 Ford Explorer, 1993 Ford Escort, and 1997 Ford Taurus. The case remains under investigation.
