Marjorie Rose West, 88, Coalmont, passed away at 6:01 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2011 at her residence.
She was born December 10, 1922 in Sullivan to Fred Collins and Christine (Anderson) Collins.
Marge married Joe B. West Sept. 14, 1947.
Survivors include: a son, Scott F. West and Jan Wright of Coalmont; sister, Mary Helen Roberts of Sullivan; granddaughters, Brandy (West) and Randy Miller of Mooresville, Whitnea and Michael May of Jasonville; grandson, Jesse S. West of Terre Haute; great-grandsons, Judson, Cooper, Maddox, Gavin and Brier; great-granddaughters, Bailey, Addison, Caitlynne, Journey, Remmington; cousin, Bud and Jennie McCammon of Terre Haute.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe B. West, Nov. 19,1993; son, Joe Ed West, March 19, 1983; friend, Orvan Rehmel, Dec. 25, 2010.
Marge touched many as a bus driver for the Shakamak School Corporation, retired from Roots, was a member of the Coalmont Baptist Church, the Sullivan County Extension Homemakers and was a graduate of Sullivan High School Class of 1940.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street, Jasonville.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26, at the funeral home with Pastor Brad West officiating.
Interment will be at Sanders Cemetery in Rural Jasonville.
