Clifford V. Harris, 87, passed away at the Veteran's Hospital in Indianapolis on Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2011.
He was born Sept. 1, 1924 in Montgomery, Ind., to the late Urban and Lucille Harris.
Clifford served in the United States Army during World War II. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from Bradley University and his Master's Degree from Indiana State University. Clifford began his career as a band/choir director at Plainville, Ind., later at Worthington and Switz City, and retired from North Davies High School.
He is survived by his daughter, Marlyn Harris Burton; son, Tim Harris; brother-in-law, James Gabhart; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, E. Lucille Harris, and sister, Frances Harris Gabhart.
