David Alan Branstetter, 51, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, Oct. 7, 2011 in Taos, New Mexico.
Dave was born on March 6, 1960 in Linton to Jimmy and Luanne (Kinnaman) Branstetter.
He graduated from Linton-Stockton High School in 1978. He attended ITT Tech in Indianapolis and graduated in 1980. Dave also earned a B.S. in Small Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan University in 1998.
Dave married Barbara Meyer May 28, 1983 in Vandalia, Ill. He and Barb were married for 28 years and have three beautiful grown daughters. He was a devout Christian living out his faith in Jesus more in actions than in words.
Dave went to heaven, and is survived by his wife Barb Branstetter of Raton, New Mexico; his mother and step-father, Luanne and Jerry Bellamy of Linton; his wonderful daughters and their families, Laura and Brandon Neal and grandson Benjamin of Bonaire, N.A.; Lana and 2LT J. Nathan Birkhimer of French Lick; and Lisa Branstetter of Knoxville, Tenn.; his sister and brother-in-law Debbie and Randy Hawley of Avon along with two nephews and three step-nieces; and his mother-in-law Wilma Meyer of Vandalia, Ill.
Visitation will be at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Thursday, October 13 at 4 p.m. until the time of service at 7:30 p.m. with Rev. David Tyra officiating.
A celebration of his life will follow at a later date in Raton, New Mexico.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Dave's honor may be made to Trans World Radio (TWR) in Cary, North Carolina; Operation Helmet in Montgomery, Texas; and/or Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis.
