Tip leads to drug arrest by task force
A tip received by Greene County Crimestoppers led to an arrest Thursday night of a Linton man on a pair of drug-related charges.
Duane A. Goodman, 25, of Linton, was arrested by the Greene County Drug Task Force on preliminary charges of maintaining a common nuisance; possession of marijuana over 30 grams, a class D felony.
He was jailed and bond was set at $8,000.
Following the Crimestoppers' tip, officers went to Goodman's apartment on 15th Street to conduct a search.
Officers uncovered several items associated with the smoking of marijuana and an amount of a green-leafy plant material that field tested positive as marijuana, according to the police report.
"Goodman stated that he typically has marijuana in his home and that he and his fiancé both smoke marijuana," LPD officer Brock Garrison wrote in his offense report.
