GREENE COUNTY SHERIFF'S

DEPARTMENT JAIL LOG

* Oct. 30 -- Thomas W. Cody, Jr., 28 of Route 1, Linton, was arrested by the Linton Police Department on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction. Bond was set at $8,000.

* Oct. 30 -- Michael G. Pitcher, 37, of Bloomfield, was arrested by the Bloomfield Police Department on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and resisting law enforcement with a vehicle. He was released from jail after posting $8,000 bond. Court date set for 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 4.

* Oct. 30 -- Talexyn L. Lucas, 21, of Sullivan, was arrested by the Bloomfield Police Department on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Released from jail after posting $4,000 bond. Court date set for 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 4.

* Oct. 29 -- Veronica L. Wyrick, 43, of Indianapolis, was arrested by the Linton Police Department on preliminary charges of identity deception, attempted theft and forgery. Bond was set at $21,000.

* Oct. 28 -- James D. Raber, 19, of Odon, was arrested by the Worthington Police Department on preliminary charges of possession of a controlled substance; possession of marijuana. No bond set pending a court appearance.

* Oct. 28 -- Paul A. McHenry, 21, of Dugger, was arrested by the Greene County Sheriff's Department on a warrant for a petition to revoke a suspended sentence. No bond set pending a court appearance.

* Oct. 28 -- Jessica R. Huffman, 29, of Elnora, was arrested by the Greene County Sheriff's Department on a warrant for a petition to revoke a suspended sentence. No bond set pending a court appearance.

ACTIVITY LOG

The Linton Police Department log for Oct. 28-30 included: Two fraud cases; two juvenile delinquent cases; one vandalism case; two criminal mischief cases; one intimidation case; one brush fire; three animal complaints; one theft case; one domestic dispute; one shoplifting case; three ordinance violations; and nine traffic stops.

* Oct. 29 -- LPD arrested Veronica L. Wyrick, 43, of Indianapolis, after she attempted to cash a forged check at Angell's Food Center by using a false identity. The name she attempted to use was "Tara Kelly." An employee recognized the check as forged and called police. Wyrick faces preliminary charges of identity deception, attempted theft, false informing and forgery. Bond was set at $21,000.

* Oct. 30 -- Thomas W. Cody, Jr., 28 of Route 1, Linton, was arrested by the Linton Police Department on a preliminary charge of felony operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction. Bond was set at $8,000. Suspect ran a stop sign at the intersection of County Road 300N and State Road 59 and continued west onto State Road 54. He was stopped by LPD Officer Brock Garrison on State Road 54, west of County Road 1375W. Cody failed a field sobriety test and registered .21 percent blood/alcohol content.
