Barbara Jo (Ashcraft) Alumbaugh, 66, of Shelburn, went to be with the Lord at 5:55 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011 at her son's home in Shelburn.
She was born in Linton, May 22, 1945, the daughter of James O. Ashcraft and Minnie E. (Mowery) Ashcraft.
She was a member of the Palestine Pilgrim Holiness Church in Palestine, Ill., a member of ICHA Ministerial Association, was an evangelist for several years and pastored two churches, and attended Union High School.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Linda Holbert.
Survivors include two sons, James D. Alumbaugh and his wife Carol of Shelburn, and Billy Joe Alumbaugh and fiancÚ Teresa Hunter of Shelburn, one sister, Carolyn Gambill and her husband Herb of Dugger, one grandson, Michael Hunter, and several nieces and nephews.
Service will be at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Mark Mowery and the Rev. Paul Gray officiating.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4.
